Linny Awards (Live Mapping)

Linny Awards, the multi-discipline arts awards that celebrate the extraordinary contributions made by the region’s artists, educators, businesses, volunteers and philanthropists.

Linny awards where honoring Daniel Roebuck for a big award and wanted to do a special song for the
award along with a visual design. This was the first time I ever did a live projection mapping in which I was developing and changing images and video live alongside the vocalist. It was about a month of preparation and about two days of straight development of content for the ceremony. It was great because I got a chance to have students come help and mix video with me. I always enjoy bringing students with me when possible, to see how what I’m teaching in the classroom relates to what I do out in the industry. I designed a project in my class specifically to allow students to showcase some of their work in the piece. The students picked the top three video pieces and I incorporated them in the projection mapping.
